New Hunt’s House, Guy’s
& St Thomas’ Hospital, London
In 1998 the medical research and teaching activities of Kings
College London and the United Medical & Dental School of Guys & St
Thomas Hospitals, both pre-eminent teaching hospitals, were
merged. It was decided to
rationalize the various faculties, spread across six different
campuses, and relocate them to two modern state of the art
facilities; one of those facilities being New Hunt’s House.
Long
after completion of the project a contractual dispute arose in
respect of the long term liabilities relating to the insulation and
protection of the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC)
systems. ICC were appointed by one of the parties to report on their potential
exposure under the provisions of
the contract and advise on courses of action. |
