  Xiaolangdi Dam, China

Xiaolangdi Dam, China

The 1,836MW Xiaolangdi Multipurpose Dam Project, situated on the Yellow River, is, after the Three Gorges scheme, the second largest dam project in China.

This US$3.5 billion project will alleviate flooding for 100 million people, generate power, provide water for the region, and help control sedimentation downstream.

We were appointed by the joint venture responsible for Lot 2 to determine the costs incurred in rectifying the extensive cracking of the concrete lining to the diversion tunnels, to advise on the joint venture's options in the pursuit of their insurance claim, to assist with the arbitration submission, and to support the joint venture's legal advisors during the arbitration proceedings.
