La Joya Hydro Project, Costa Rica |
The project, a 50MW modified
run of the river scheme located in central Costa Rica, comprises an
8km long by 5.6mØ aqueduct, in bored tunnel through predominantly
hard rock, which intercepts the discharge from an existing
hydroelectric facility and carries them to the storage pond sited
some 90m above the power house.
ICC are providing expert
services to the insured and are currently undertaking the claims
management and negotiation in relation to a multi-million dollar
claim under the project’s CAR policy. In addition we have also undertaken a detailed
risk analysis of the project and review of the suitability of policy
coverage. |
