Sibiu Motorway Bypass, Romania

Sibiu Motorway Bypass, Romania

Malaba-Busia-Bugiri Road, Uganda

The 23.5km long €52M Sibiu Bypass in Romania, part of the EU majority funded Pan-European Corridor IV, is a section of the strategic road link between Bucharest and the Hungarian border and helps preserve the historic centre of Sibiu.

During August 2005 exceptionally heavy rainfall and flooding caused widespread devastation and loss of life throughout Romania and the surrounding countries.  These floods also resulted in considerable damage to the works forming the bypass and deposited considerable quantities of debris on site.

ICC were retained by the contractors to assist in the quantification, presentation and negotiation of the loss mitigation and remedial works claim submitted under the project's insurance policy.
