At a cost of
US$.1.3B the 288km long San Juan de Los Morros to San Fernando de
Apure Rail Project will provide a strategic link between
Venezuela's agricultural interior and the more populous and
industrialized north.
This six year project,
constructed by a consortia of European contractors under a D&B
contract, will take 76 months to complete and will include six stations,
two inter-ports, tunnels to 6.2km, numerous bridges and
viaducts and extensive earthworks.
ICC are providing
expert services to the insured following
the collapse of a section of sprayed concrete lined tunnel in poor ground. |
